Catch Up!

Well... Since last time I wrote a post, a few exciting and great things have happened.

In the past few months, I have been to a number of concerts, short breaks to Alton Towers and London, a family holiday to Egypt, met Union J a few times & I GOT A JOB (crew member at McDonald's)!!!

I regret not being productive and writing about all of these things at the time; I am so lazy.

Yesterday was a very important day for myself and many other teenagers across Scotland. It was results day. All the hours of stress and hard work I had put in to my exams in May all came down to 1:25AM yesterday morning when I got the dreaded email from the SQA. It's safe to say I was terrified. Whilst shaking and heavy breathing - with my heart pounding and beating incredibly fast - I opened the mail and with sheer delight and joy, I cried.

I have never been so shocked and proud of myself.

After an emotional FaceTime to Sarah-Jane, I woke my parents up to show them my results and cried some more.

All of my family are absolutely delighted of my achievements: as am I.
I am incredibly proud and happy for my friends also as we all did extremely well and are ecstatic with our marks.

If my mum and dad ever read this, thank you for all your support and love throughout May and my exams and thank you for helping keep my stress levels as low as possible. I love you.

Stereo Kicks!

On Friday 10th April, a few friends and I spent the day in Glasgow city centre before going to see Stereo Kicks perform on their headline tour!

When my friend Sarahjane and I first arrived into town, we went to a nail salon where I got a set of acrylic nails.
(I look extremely orange in this picture due to the flash of my camera!)
I usually wear dark coloured nails/nail polish however as the summer and warmer weather are fast approaching, I got this semi-bright pink colour which I love!!

We then met up with our friends Megen and Beth before taking a trip to Stereo Kicks hotel to try to meet and take photographs with the band members.
Unfortunately, the only photos we took were of ourselves.

Before the concert, we decided to go to Nandos for lunch/dinner which was delicious (as always).
It was Beth's first EVER Nandos so we had to photograph the occasion!

The concert itself was very good. It took place in the 02 ABC which only held 350 people however was completely sold out and very cramped. Stereo Kicks sang 10 songs including She Looks So Perfect - originally by 5 Seconds Of Summer - Fix You and Run which they performed on The X Factor and two of their own songs which are soon to be released as singles.

The boys are all very talented and made their short set very enjoyable.

As I was out all day - and it was quite hot outside - I had to ensure my makeup lasted and didn't disappear from my face.
For this, primer is essential!
I used the Rimmel London Fix &
Perfect Pro
together with the Benefit Porefessional to make sure my makeup stayed on my face from morning until night.

Below is an image of the other makeup products I used on this day.

As for outfit, I wore a simple white top and black jeans from River Island which I paired with a demin jacket and black Vans.

I was extremely comfortable in this outfit and I was never too hot or too cold throughout the day.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this post and I hope you enjoyed it!

Sweet Sixteen!

Hello!

On the 19th March, it was my 16th birthday and I had a lovely few days which I spent with both my friends and family.

For this blog post I thought I'd write a summary of the gifts I received. I just want to clarify that I am not bragging what so ever! I find reading what other people receive as gifts very interesting so I hope you do to.

Firstly, from my sister I received a selfie stick! I swear these things are hilarious and everyone needs one in their life.

This was bought on Amazon for around £10. It connects to your phone through Bluetooth and has the button which captures the photographs on the stick. This is very convenient as other selfie sticks have a separate button. This way the button won't get lost if you're a forgetful person like me! I used this a lot whilst out with my friends and family and it was lots of fun!

Selfie stick antics!

From my grandparents I received this Swarovski pen which I adore!

It's so sparkly and elegant looking! They got me this for good luck and to use when doing my exams this May; which is so sweet and a lovely idea.

My two cousins bought my mum, sister and I a joint present as our birthdays are around the same time. A spa day!!! I am very excited about this as it is in a rather posh hotel and includes lunch and unlimited use of the leisure facilities. I am very grateful for this and looking forward to attending with my family.

Finally, from my parents I was given thee best present ever.

I AM GOING TO LONDON!!!

I have been to London twice before however I was a lot younger and cannot remember most of it! We are going this summer for a few days to see all of the sights, shop and overall act like a complete tourist with selfie stick and map in hand! I am so excited and know we will have the best time.

I am extremely thankful to have such and amazing family and group of friends who take the time to think of gifts and spend their money on me.
 I love you!!!

Thank you for reading and I hope you found this post somewhat interesting.

The X Factor Tour!

Today I'm going to write about my eventful weekend which of course revolved around *cue the music* The X Factor Tour!

The finalists arrived in Glasgow on Friday 27th February and stayed until Saturday afternoon. On the Friday they arrived, myself and a few friends travelled into the city centre to wait outside their hotel in the hopes of meeting some of our favourite performers; of course it would be Only The Young and Stereo Kicks.

We waited for a few hours in the extremely windy and cold weather until they all arrived and I had the chance to meet the wonderful Fleur East, Lauren Platt, Andrea Faustini and members from both Only The Young and Stereo Kicks. The hotel was very busy so we each only got a few seconds and quick selfie with the acts but nether the less, it was worth the wait.

On the Friday night, my younger sister and I went to the show; our Only The Young banner in hand. We had really good seats (which were on the floor) where we had an excellent view of both the main and centre stage. For me, other than the bands, Fleur was incredible!!! Of course Mr. Ben Haenow was also a star but for me, Fleur stole the show!

Haenow, Haenow, this is what dreams are made of...

Now the eventful part...
Previously in the day my friends and I booked a room in the same hotel as the contestants. Unfortunately half of Glasgow had the same idea. The hotel was filled with at least eighty teenagers and numerous security guards making it their mission to continue to hassle anyone insight. When booking a room, we chose the cheapest option - a twin room for two people - in which five of us planned to sleep in.
To cut a long story short, the security caught us out the second time they questioned us and ordered three 15 year old years to leave the hotel at 12:30am.
 HOW SAFE!!!

Fortunately, I found elsewhere to stay and managed to collect a pair of GHD straighteners and two phone chargers in the process.
The next morning I returned to the security infested hotel to hand over what was not mine before waiting again outdoors to see the acts leave for the venue (if would have been rude not to...).

Now I've wrote it all down, it doesn't appear as eventful as it seemed at the time but overall it was good weekend and I am glad I got to spend it with some of my closest friends.

I have posted both a video of Only The Young and Stereo kicks performing on my YouTube channel which you can watch by clicking the links below.
I also posted a vine of a concerned Reece Bibby and I having a conversation which you can watch by clicking here.

Thank you for reading this post and remember, always book a family hotel room for five people!

Willkommen!

As my first Blog post I would just like the opportunity to say...

WILLKOMMEN!!! (German For Welcome)

Hello I am Lianne & I am 15 years old but will be turning 16 very soon (19th March)! I live in a small town in Scotland - which is part of the United Kingdom (No I haven't met the Queen...) - with my mum, dad, sister & my beloved dog, Ollie.

I am currently in my 4th year at secondary school where I'm studying seven subjects at National 5 level; English, Maths, Business, Modern Studies, Art & Design, German & Biology. It's hard work however I am determined to succeed and go on to study five of the above next year at Higher level.

In my spare time - when I don't have my head stuck in books - I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, whether we go to the cinema, go out for a meal and occasionally 'stalk' a boy band or two... or three.
Being a stereotypical teenage girl, I love boy bands. Although One Direction will be the first to spring to mind, I prefer the likes of Union J, The Vamps & also up & coming band Only The Young (Who are a mixed sex band but you get the idea). I have had the opportunity to meet all three of those above with my great friends and hopefully I'll have the same chance to meet them again in the future.

Continuing with the music theme of the previous paragraph, I LOVE concerts. I love the feeling of the music rushing through my body with the beat going in tandem with my heart rate. Seeing artists perform two or even two hundred meters in front of me, is the best feeling in the world and getting to experience even ten minutes of that feeling with my closest friends is wonderful.
This year, I have numerous concerts lined up; The Vamps feat. Union J, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift & Make Some Noize Music Festival. Hopefully I will write a blog post on each and share pictures and videos of my experience.

I also love spending time on my own - like the antisocial teenager I am - watching TV series on Netflix. I have recently fell in love with The Vampire Diaries (Stelena AF) and the extremely popular Pretty Little Liars. WHO IS A??!! My money is on one of the four main girls - Aria, Spencer, Emily or Hanna.

That was just a little insight into my life and what my blog posts and also YouTube videos will be based on. I hope you enjoyed & continue to read my blog!

PS. Who do you think A is?...
